about

The 'System Theory' split tape brings out techno based on two different theoretic frameworks. I`ve been introduced to Luke's sound through his tape release on Still Heat Recordings (SH006).
Here he presents 7 tracks related to color theory by clinically expressing a selection of bare colors and their psychological moods through purely synthesized timbre.
I myself worked around 'numbers', based on mathematics of polyrhythms.

This tape is all about techno, straight, raw, bold - nonetheless it's for the mind not just the feet.
The tracks are implicitly about order and/or disorder, be it either by themselves or through blending and shifting order to disorder. In my perception, theoretic systems are dynamic, fluent and must adapt to certain outer circumstances. All this happens in order to survive the passing of time and the development of the object of observation/theoretic system.

But don´t think too much while listening. Rather enjoy.
